Happiness is a Warm Bed
I nearly froze yesterday doing chores for all the livestock. Good thing I have help out there doing the water and feeding. It was so cold the water was freezing in the tubs almost as quick as I could put it in. Sure hope everyone got a good drink before it froze over again. After chores, my husband and I went to town to run some errands. I swear it got colder as the day went on. By the time we got our shopping and dinner done and got home, I was more than ready to sit at my computer next to my personal heater and just cruise the web looking for info on 404 for the newest site I'm looking to build. I ran across a real puzzler this week. I bought this great little script from a trusted source. Someone I had bought from before, and never had any problems with. This is a great script, the price is right, and it works for everyone else - except me. Bummer, I thought and got in touch with the owner. He got right back to me with suggestions and questions. We went back and forth for a while, and since he couldn't figure out what was wrong, he put me in touch with his programmer directly. Now I ask you, has anyone ever done that for you with a piece of software you bought? The programmer got right back to me, and guess what, he is writing a program that will enable him to see just what is going on, and why it won't work for me. Then he'll tweak the script so that it will work for me, if at all possble. An the guy even apologetically said that it may take a couple of days! Folks, I have to tell you, that kind of thing is just about unheard of. And you know what? These guys will have a customer for life. Just had to share something good with you, so you can see that great service is not dead on the internet.
